Ate eggs benedict 9/23/2011

Where: Steve's Cafe in Helena, MT. Steve's cafe was opend in 4/2009 and was voted as the best breakfast place in Helena this year (2011). The inside is much bigger than it appears from the outside. The feel inside the cafe is very comfortable, homey, spacious, and very clean. The service and food was great.

History of eggs benedict: The Delmonico's is the first public dining place to open in the USA in 1860's. Mrs. LeGrand Benedict was looking for something different for lunch. Mrs. Benedict spoke with the Delmonico's chef, Charles Ranhofer. Presto... eggs benedict was created!

What is egg benedict: Eggs benedict is two English muffin halves toasted with a thin slice of Canadan bacon, poached egg, and topped with Hollandaise sauce. This dish is on of my daughter's favorite. The combination is a contrast in textures and very tasty.

To drink a Mojito

I had my first Mojito at Applebee’s in Bozeman. I had a strawberry Mojito. The crushed mint provides a mild favor while adding greatly to the aromatic aspects of the drink.

Mojito's originated from Cuba. The Mojito’s are made with rum, mint, lime, club soda, and sugar combine to make a refreshing cocktail. Mojito's are served in high balls glasses. There are variations of the Mojito including dirty Mojito which has spiced run and brown sugar; Mojito Royal replaces the club soda with Champagne; and Nojito is a Mojito without alcohol.

It has been rumored that Ernest Hemingway enjoyed drinking Mojito's which might be fiction or could it be fact?
